Context:
Rice University’s Bioengineering Department has been consistently ranked among the nation’s top 10 bioengineering/biomedical engineering graduate programs for more than a decade. As a member of the Texas Medical Center and through numerous interdisciplinary partnerships, they are advancing research in biotechnology and biomedical engineering, and bringing innovative diagnostic tools and therapeutics to patients. Among their innovations was the development of an artifical heart pump by Michael E. DeBakey. The department have a regular print newsletter that is sent to alumni and friends of the program at least once a year.

Challenge: 
Design and print the next issue of Rice Bioengineering's biannual newsletter in partnership with Bioengineering staff. Collaborate with editors to generate content. And illustrate a newsletter cover to celebrate the rich history of the department.
