Context: The Moody Student Collaborative is a student organization started in 2016 at Rice university to incorporate students in the newly constructed Moody Center for the Arts. Today, the Collaborative connects Rice students to the arts, fosters engagement through outreach, and promotes the Moody's mission, resources, and opportunities for students.

Challenge: The goal of my logo was to combine the essence of the Moody Center with the energy of Rice University students.

Approach: The icon incorporates the unique window aperture of the Moody Center for the Arts (Michael Maltzan Architecture), emulating the radiating tree column to divide the icon into 11 slices, one representing each of Rice's 11 residential colleges.
