Context:
In 2015, a short documentary called The Trouble with Ray was made by Proud Pony International, a production company specializing in commercials, webseries, and music videos in Houston. This short documentary would later be adapted into Loud Mouth Queer, a feature length film that tells the tale of legendary Texas LGBT rights activist Ray Hill and his legacy of shaping a local and national movement.

Challenge:
After doing well at film festivals as a short, Proud Pony wanted to turn their production feature length. This would be accomplished through a Kickstarter campaign seeking to raise $50,000. I collaborated with them as a production assistant and web designer in 2016 to help realize their ambitious fundraising goals.

Approach:
With this contet in mind, we decided to create a website and social media campaign to rally people to back their new Kickstarter. The website features a full screen trailer with reviews of the film, while the social media campaign uses quotes with stills from the movie to engage and motivate potential patrons.

These graphics were used to generate interest and funding for The Trouble with Ray Kickstarter in December 2015.
